Access All Aerials, the radio station based at Hannahs at Seale-Hayne, is celebrating its 5th birthday. To mark this milestone, radio presenter Chris Bowden, aka The Cheesemeister, is organising a 24 hour On Air Challenge on November 6/7.
Chris hosts his only weekly show on Access All Aerials, which is a very special radio station run by volunteers and people with disabilities. Chris is one of 40 DJs who present 28 shows between them. The station now receives 231,000 listens and has 1500 followers. As part of the 5th birthday celebrations there will also be an Open Studio the week of November 5 as well as a party and awards ceremony.
Chris is 35 years old, lives in Exeter and has Cerebral Palsy. He has difficulty speaking and cannot independently use his arms or legs. Being a radio DJ on Access All Aerials means that Chris is living his dream. His 24 hour On Air Challenge is his biggest challenge yet. As well as other AAA DJs, he is being joined by local radio presenters including Andy Gilbert from Exmouth Air, Ashley Jeary from Radio Exe and Paul Kay from Riviera FM. Chris and his friends are fundraising for Access All Aerials. The 24 hour radio marathon is to raise funds for Access All Aerials. To support Chris and his friends visit:
