GO WILD DURING WILDLIFE WEEK AT SEALE-HAYNE

Hannahs is running a Wildlife Week of wild and fun activities during half-term (February 12th-18th) at Seale-Hayne. The week of activities will run alongside the hilarious Comedy Wildlife Photography Exhibition which is open until March 5th.

Throughout the week there will be plenty of free activities including Animal Mask Making and Colouring, Kids Comedy Wildlife Photo Competition, Animal Poetry Writing and Nature Brass Rubbings when children can really get creative and use their imaginations. They can also put their senses to the test and guess what natural mysteries are hiding in the Nature Touch and Sniff Box or roll the dice and build a beetle in the Giant Beetle Drive Game.

There are other fun activities with a small charge including an Animal Treasure Hunt and Animal Crazy Golf. For the more daring children there is a chance to take on a Bushtucker Trial and try out a three course meal of black ants, salt and vinegar crickets and mealworms to win a medal. They can also spend an exciting morning in the woods doing Bushcraft on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 11am; collecting wood and learning knife skills to make their own greenstick cooking tool as well as learning fire making skills, cooking bread, toasting marshmallows and drinking hot chocolate. There will also be a chance to let off steam playing Laser Tag on Tuesday and Thursday at 2pm

Naturemake will be running a unique nature inspired craft workshop on Wednesday morning. Using exciting natural materials and awesome glue guns, children can create their own wild creatures or fantastic beasts and build them a mini cosy den or beautiful tree top nest to take home.

There will also be fascinating wildlife experts visiting Seale-Hayne each day of half-term week with their creatures and giving demonstrations and talks. These include the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, Casper the Owl and Friends, Devon Wildlife Trust and South West Animal Services.
