The Gold DofE Residential with Reach Outdoors is a week long adventure and is a magnificent and memorable achievement for any young person. Through a range of high adrenaline outdoor activities led by fully-trained, DofE Approved Activity Providers, the Gold Residential is a fantastic way to get young adults outdoors, being active, making fun memories, working as a team and building lifelong relationships.
Experts say that spending time on a river, in the sea, up a mountain, in woodland or in other wild places not only promotes physical activity but can also help with your mental health. What’s more, spending time in nature will remind you of its fragility and might encourage you to be more active on key environmental issues. Duke of Edinburgh research shows that a fifth of teenagers (20%) have never been for a walk in the countryside.

The activities were extremely rewarding and well-organised – favourites were coasteering, gorge walking and giant SUP.
