Quantum Theatre is bringing its wonderful open air production of The Reluctant Dragon to Seale-Hayne on Saturday 14th July at 3pm. This is an enchanting adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s children’s classic which is a touching, sweet and funny tale of bravery, friendship and derring-do for all the family.

When a dragon is discovered up on the Downs, the Boy is not in the least surprised. He has always known there was a cave there so it seems only right for a dragon to be living in it. But this particular dragon is not a bit like the ones in fairy tales – this one writes poetry and doesn’t like fighting! When the townsfolk send for St. George to slay the dragon, the boy needs to come up with a clever plan to save his friend and convince the townsfolk to accept him. He tells the dragon “You’ve got to fight him some time or other you know, ’cos he’s St George and you’re the dragon…”

Bring your picnic blanket or camping chairs and enjoy this Children’s Classic in the beautiful grounds of Seale-Hayne. Tickets £12 adult | £8 child (3-16) | £32 family ticket
